Responsibilities: The management team is responsible for providing leadership and direction in health and safety matters and for ensuring that adequate resources are allocated to implement and maintain effective health and safety management systems. Employees at all levels are responsible for adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, reporting hazards and incidents, and actively participating in health and safety initiatives.
Risk Management: We will identify and assess workplace hazards and risks through regular inspections, risk assessments, and employee consultations. Control measures will be implemented to eliminate or minimise hazards, and procedures will be established to manage risks effectively.
Training and Competence: We are committed to providing appropriate health and safety training and information to all employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their work safely. Training needs will be identified through regular assessments, and training programs will be developed and delivered accordingly.
Communication: Open communication is essential for maintaining a safe work environment. We will communicate health and safety policies, procedures, and important information to all employees through training sessions, safety meetings, email updates, and other channels. Employees are encouraged to raise concerns, report hazards, and participate in safety discussions.
Emergency Preparedness: Apex will establish and maintain emergency response procedures to effectively manage emergencies, such as fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters. Emergency evacuation plans will be developed, communicated, and practiced regularly to ensure all employees know what to do in an emergency.
Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continually improving our health and safety performance through regular review and evaluation of our health and safety management systems. Feedback from employees, incident investigations, and performance indicators will be used to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
